Hi y'all,
Today I spent my sons nap making a new tree skirt. I'm so happy with how it turned out and it was only about $11 in materials. I used our old tree skirt that doesn't match our tree and some drop cloth. I got mine at Lowes for less than $11 and I have some leftover (I see anew wreath in my immediate future) I got this idea from a very expensive tree skirt I saw in a store and just could make myself spend the money on it. So I decided to make my own and you can too!! you could definitely use any fabric you want and even use more than one color :)

I started by tearing the fabric into strips and then laying them out into folds row by row. I started at the bottom and laid the fabric out first to make sure I liked how it looked and then went back and glued it down with my glue gun. Then I moved onto the next row, overlapping them a little bit. |

I really like the bigger ruffles but you could definitely do smaller ones. |

The top was the tricky part for me but it was still very easy. You just have to turn more as you go =) |

Don't mind my feet in this one lol This was done during nap time so there was no time to edit! This is the finished product!! |

And here it is under our tree. I love it!! |
|
Only about 3 hours of work and it was super cheap to make!! |

Hope you guys are having a great month of December so far and that you get some inspiration from this to make your very own fabulous tree skirts =)
